The following diagram represents the views typically utilized to store data about a fluid analysis activity. Fluid analysis is a set of laboratory procedures performed to identify the physical properties of fluid samples. Fluid analysis can be simple (like material composition) or very specialized and involve sophisticated fluid sampling and laboratory equipment (like PVT, asphaltene, and swelling). It is important to perform fluid analysis in order to determine if the fluid that is being produced, injected, purchased, or sold is acceptable to all parties; and to ensure the efficient production of fluids from a reservoir. The fluid samples that are examined during a fluid analysis can be acquired in many different ways. In this example, we assume that the fluid sample was acquired via a production test at a well completion.
