Petrel_Property_Template

This entity represents or relates to a Petrel template, a node in the Petrel template tree, which declares the physical property of a group of data representations. It can be shared between Petrel projects. In the project context the template also provides graphical styles, e.g. a default color table (not modeled in Seabed). There are pre-defined, built-in templates, which are read-only. Furthermore Petrel distinguishes discrete look-up table templates (property values cannot be interpolated) and continuous templates (property values can be interpolated). If the Parent is not null, the instance is an indirection, like Global Well Log in Petrel. It carries its own identity, name and description but derives all characteristics from its parent, the ultimate Petrel template hosted in the template tree.

TRUE

FALSE

Petrel_User_Def_Property

An instance of a user defined Petrel property definition in a spreadsheet, for example a Petrel marker property that is part of a borehole point interpretation model; it corresponds to a column in a Petrel spreadsheet (e.g. Well tops spreadsheet). The values are stored as Parameter specializations, which point back to this definition. The scope of the Petrel_User_Def_Property is given by the relationship to Domain_Model; if this is null, the instance is in project scope (e.g. user defined borehole properties). Petrel uses a number of predefined properties; for these instances the Predefined_Code contains the unique identifier, otherwise Predefined_Code is kept undefined.
