05 Processed 2D Diagram

Description of 05 Processed 2D diagram

Introduction

The model defined in Seabed for processed 2D seismic concentrates only on the processed seismic traces, not of the processing activity. The idea is to store processed seismic data for loading interpretation projects or for archiving the data for later use. The 2D seismic processed trace data is stored in terms of 2D lines and shotpoints along the line. The trace data is mostly recorded using SEGY format. Additional position information of the traces can be provided in the form of UKOOA P1.

For a completeness of the data stored in the model, Processed 2D seismic requires Seismic_Survey, Survey_2D describing the survey; R_Cartographic_Ref_System referring to projection used at the time of the survey; Seismic_Line_2D, Line representing each seismic line and shotpoint positions; Seismic_Boundary defining the extent of data in spatial coordinates; Business_Associate describing the ownership of the survey; Seismic_Dataset defining a class to represent the collection of data files; and Geophysical_Inventory containing the collection of SEGY data files.
