06 Processed 3D Diagram

Description of 06 Processed 3D diagram

Introduction

The model defined in Seabed for processed 3D seismic concentrates only on the processed seismic traces, not on the processing activity. The idea is to store processed seismic data for loading interpretation projects or for archiving the data for later use. The 3D seismic processed trace data is stored in terms of grid positions covering an area. These grid points are equally spaced along inline (I AXIS) or crossline (J Axis). The processed grid geometry is always associated with binset. The trace data is mostly recorded using SEGY format.

For a completeness of the data stored in the model for Processed 3D seismic requires Seismic_Survey, Survey_3D describing the survey; R_Cartographic_Ref_System referring to projection used at the time of the survey; Cube_Lattice representing the processed survey geometry; Survey_Boundary defining the extent of data in spatial coordinates; Business_Associate describing the ownership of the survey; Seismic_Dataset defining a class to represent the collection of data files; and Geophysical_Inventory containing the collection of SEGY data files.
