Abstract

Alternate_Elevation

Definition of an alternative elevation. For example if the Drill Floor is defined to be the permanent elevation reference for a well then a local coordinate system would be created with it''s Vertical_Reference set to DF and it''s elevation stored as Z_Offset. If you also wish to state the elevation of the rotary table then you would create a record in Alternate_Elevation with it''s Vertical_Reference set to RT and it''s elevation stored in Elevation.

X

Borehole

A unique, oriented hole from the intended bottom of a drilled interval to the surface of the earth. If more than one path exists from a borehole bottom point to a surface point, more than one borehole exists. The borehole provides a conduit for operations within a well.

X

Borehole_Alias

Set of alternate names or IDs for a borehole.

X

Borehole_BA_Invl_Interest

The definition of the interest that a BA has in a particular well

X

Borehole_BA_Involvement

The representation of the involvement of a business associate in a borehole.

X

Borehole_Remark

General remarks about a borehole

X

Borehole_Section

As per our deprecation policy this class has been deprecated as of 6/9/08. It will be removed in a later release. RSD 6/9/08

X

Borehole_Status

An entity that holds the status associated with a particular borehole. The statuses can change over time.

X

Control_Point

Stores details for Survey control points (on known latitude, longitude and elevation above MSL)

X

Field

A geographical area in which a number of oil or gas wells produce from a continuous reservoir. A field may refer to surface area only or to underground productive formations as well. A single field may have several separate reservoirs at varying depths

X

Field_Alias

A class to store alternative names for a field.

X

Lift_Method

The method of lift utilized by a borehole. Examples could be natural lift, gas lift, ESP or sucker rod pump.

X

R_Borehole

A reference object to hold a list of valid borehole types. Valid Values from MMS are C- CORE TEST, D- DEVELOPMENT, E- EXPLORATORY, N- NON-OPERATION, R- RELIEF, S- STRAT TEST

X

R_Borehole_Alias

Types of aliases for a Borehole. For example Company Name, Government Assigned Name

X

R_Borehole_Shape

Defines a valid instance of a type of wellbore trajectory shape. Common types are: Build and Hold, S Shaped, Vertical, Horizontal. In the early stages of well planning, this information, along with some key parameters, are used to generate an approximate well profile - without the requirement for detailed trajectory planning. This information is also of value for wells that have already been drilled because it is difficult to categorize wells by their detailed trajectory.

X

R_Borehole_Status

List of valid borehole statuses

X

R_Control_Point

Type of control point (horizontal, trigonometric, vertical/bench marks, triangulation, traverse, GPS,.. )

X

R_Field

A reference object to hold a list of valid types of fields. Example: Oil Field, Gas Field, etc.

X

R_Field_Alias

Types of aliases for a field. Examples Government Assigned Code.

X

R_Lahee_Class

Reference table for enumerating Lahee classes

X

R_Well_Alias

Types of aliases for a well. For example Company Name, Government Assigned Name

X

Well

A well is a collection of (zero or more) boreholes drilled into the earth for the purpose of either (1) finding or producing underground resources; or (2) providing services related to the production of underground resources.

X

Well_Alias

Set of alternate names or IDs for a well.

X

Well_BA_Invl_Interest

The definition of the interest that a BA has in a particular well

X

Well_BA_Involvement

The involvement of a business associate in a well. this could be drilling company, operator etc.

X

Well_Remark

General remarks about a well

X

Well_Status

A table to hold the status history for each well.
