Well Position

A well has a surface location associated with it. This is the point on the surface where the first borehole will be drilled.

A borehole has both a bottom location (i.e., the location of the bottom of the hole, and a surface location). The surface location is a denormalization as the surface location of the borehole is the surface location of the well containing the borehole.
