13 Tank Diagram

Description of 13 Tank diagram

Tank

The following rules describe how to use the Tank classes:

A tank is a device used for the storage of fluids. This diagram displays a collection of classes that describe tanks and the operating and catalog properties of tanks.

Tanks and their nominal data are stored in the Tank class.

Properties of a tank that change over time are stored in the Tank_Oper_Pty_Set class.

Standard catalogue data values that can be assigned to a tank are stored in the R_Tank_Cat class.

Furthermore, a tank’s volume can be determined if you know the fluid level in the tank and you have a tank strapping table. A strapping table is a chart that can be used to calculate fluid volume in a tank given the height of the fluid in a tank. It shows, for each increment of height in the tank, the associated volume of fluid the tank contains when the fluid height is at that level.
