Facility Involvements Facilities can have other names or aliases. These are stored in the Facility_Alias class. In addition, a facility can be involved with one or more business associates. For instance, the owner or operator of the facility might be specified. These are stored in the Fac_BA_Involvement class. Certain events generally cause changes in the production status (operational or regulatory) for the facilities and indicate how these facilities operate in time. The status often shows on different operational and regulatory reports and decision making. Some examples of production status are NATURAL FLOW WELL, ABANDONED WELL, CLOSED WELL, WAITING FOR WORKOVER, GAS LIFT WELL, and MECHANICAL PUMP WELL. Other production status definitions can be custom defined. It is a common practice to group more than one status under a higher level status (Facility Status Category). This facilitates data retrieval and reporting. For example, all the wells that are currently producing can be categorized as PRODUCING_WELL, even though their actual status may be GAS LIFT, NATURAL FLOW, MECHANICAL PUMP, or ESP. |
