Facility Condition Reporting

When a piece of equipment, for example an electric submersible pump (ESP), is pulled from the hole, it is standard practice to make comment on its condition.

These condition comments, or condition observations, are stored in the Fac_Condition_Detail class, and these individual condition observations are associated with a single Facility_Condition record, which in turn is associated with the facility to which they belong. Additional remarks on a particular condition observation can be entered in the remarks field in the Fac_Condition_Detail record.

The class R_Facility_Condition contains a list of predetermined condition observations that can be made. These are grouped into functional groupings or categories by the association to R_Fac_Cond_Category. For example, for the Condition_Category of "Shaft Play", the valid values are "Bushings Good", "Side Play Excessive, Top" and "Side Play Excessive, Bottom".

Since certain conditions only relate to certain facilities, the R_Valid_Fac_Condition class holds the information regarding which conditions are valid for which observed facilities. For example, Shaft Play does not make sense when talking about an ESP Cable.
